June Favourites

Hi Everyone! I have failed yet again in my mission to try new things, however I have found a few new favourites this month and I really wanted to share them with you.

So I have watched Joey Graceffa on YouTube for a few years now but I am not a crazed obsessed fan. So when his book came out I didn't really plan to buy it. Then I spotted it when I was shopping and thought maybe it was worth a go. I was hooked and by the next day had finished it. There is so much more to this guy than I knew. Loved it.

This is the Nars Virtual Domination Palette. I actually got this around Christmas time but have only just gotten round to using it! It is the best. The End.

I have been using Benefit's The Porefessional for a few years now, but this is the first time I have ever bought it. Don't worry I haven't been stealing it's just that every time one sample has run out another one has come along. This has become a must have in my make up bag and if I'm wearing make up I'm wearing this.

This one is a bit random. Water. Yep. Water. I'm always challenging myself to drink more water but have always struggled with still water and have gone for sparkling in the past. Now however I have developed a taste for still water. Not necessarily the brand shown just any to be honest. Can't be a bad thing right?

Have you tried anything new that you love this month?

Ps I am working on something exciting for July be sure to check back on Wednesday to find out what :)

Mid Year Resolutions

How are we already in June? Half way through the year? It's crazy how fast time is going this year. I thought now would be a good time to look back on my new years resolutions and see how I'm getting on.

I made only one resolution this year BE HAPPY. Not too difficult to achieve right? Wrong. I can honestly say so far this year I have not been happy. I don't want to sound too negative but there has just been more bad than good this year.

For the rest of the year I have decided that I need to focus on the things that are making me so unhappy and how to change that. So I have come up with some mid year resolutions.

1. Eat to live, don't live to eat.
2. Research Jobs/Courses on subjects I'm interested in and work towards a new career.
3. Make a list of everything that needs to finish the house and do it.
4. Make time for my relationships, husband, family, etc.

Looks like I'm going to have a busy 6 months. I don't expect miracles to happen in this amount of time but I'm hoping I can make some big steps towards being happy.

How have you gotten on with your new years resolutions? Are they long forgotten now?

Ps. Here are the two that always manage to make me smile.
