As I said yesterday, we celebrated our first wedding anniversary yesterday. I can't believe it has been a year already. I'm not going to lie and say it's all been amazing and wonderful this past year because it's not it's been bloody difficult at times, but we made it.
Don't get me wrong though there has been good times too. It's just difficult to get time together at the moment, because of work mainly.
Luckily though we both managed to get our anniversary off. We had a pretty lazy day, got up quite late. Then last night we went back to the place we got married and had a yummy meal.
I absolutely love this hotel. It's the Dryburgh Abbey Hotel in the Scottish Borders. It's a really beautiful setting next to the River Tweed and the hotel itself is pretty nice to look at.
They have two places you can eat, the Bistro or the Restaurant. We went for the bistro because it feels a little more relaxed. I took some pictures of my dinner but I was so hungry I only remembered half way through to take them. Oops.
Starter - Haggis, Neeps and Tatties (YUM)
Main - Caesar Salad
Pudding - Vanilla Cheesecake (Yey remembered to take this one before I started eating)
Quite Embarrassingly my mum had phoned up to arrange paying for our meal and a bottle of bubbly to be brought to us! Wouldn't be so bad but we were sat right in the middle of the room.
So pretty. After dinner we went and sat on a bench near the river and took in this beautiful view.
Wish I could just move into this place. :) Think this may have to be a tradition that we go back every year.
