Review: The Body Shop Instablur

the body shop instablur

I recently decided it was time to try out a new primer. I have been a loyal user of Benefit's Porefessional for a while now and I absolutely love it but as it was running low I decided now would be a good time to treat myself to something new.

I decided to give The Body Shop's Instablur a go as I have been wanting to try it for a while now and had seen and heard good things about it.

It claims to be :
Shine controlling 12hr
Reduce appearance of pores
Blemish hiding
Complexion unifying
Make up extending.

Was it as good as it seemed?

Oh yeah it was!

Honestly though my first impression was an unsure one, Instablur has got a bit of a weird consistency. Once I had gotten over that though and had it on my face all my doubts soon disappeared. I love how Instablur gives quite a matte finish, I'm definitely not about the dewy look.

I definitely need help with reducing appearance of pores and it did honestly give me that. I'm not so sure about the claim it hides blemishes but I have quite a lot to hide.

I'm not sure what the scent is but it's a very clean and fresh sort of smell and not too strong. I can be quite funny about scents when it comes to make up but this doesn't bother me at all.

Instablur is also a pretty affordable product at £14. It may not seem that cheap but you only need such a small amount so I can see it lasting me quite a while. Definitely worth the money.

I have never really tried anything from The Body Shop before but I have to say Instablur has gotten me excited to try more products for them.

If you are looking for a new primer and can get your hands on Instablur I highly recommend giving it a go.

Do you have any suggestions for other Body Shop products I should try?
